GILL — March 28, 2023 — Gill-Montague School Committee accepts more than $23,000 in donations and approves sixth-grade Nature's Classroom field trip. Meeting remotely on March 28, the committee voted unanimously to accept a $20,000 contribution to the Bordeaux Family Scholarship and two Gill PTO donations totaling $3,124.64 — $1,440 for the after-school program at Gill Elementary and $1,684.64 for Nature's Classroom expenses — before approving a May 15-19 trip for sixth graders by a 4-0-1 tally. Business director Joanne reported the district's fourth consecutive year-end audit with no findings, though a formal vote to accept the report was deferred to April 11. That same meeting will carry a vote on the district's Statement of Interest to the Massachusetts School Building Authority, which faces an April 14 submission deadline for potential elementary school construction funding.
