Gill Sets Oct. 6 Vote on Tech School Project, Regionalization

GILL — Gill voters will decide the Franklin County Technical School building project and a proposed six-town school regionalization in a special election Oct. 6, the town's most consequential civic decision on the near horizon, as the Selectboard also posted its agenda for Monday's meeting and residents prepare for a busy stretch of fall festivals.

TOWN HALL

The town has flagged the Oct. 6 special election as its lead item, featured prominently on the town website: polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. upstairs at Gill Town Hall for voters to weigh in on the Franklin County Technical School project and the six-town school regionalization question. Ballot design documents for both questions were posted to the Town Clerk's files this week. Residents have until Friday, Sept. 25, to register in order to vote.

The Selectboard posted its agenda for Monday's 5:30 p.m. meeting at Town Hall on Friday evening, giving residents several days to review the materials ahead of the session.

In the town's most recent general News Flash update, posted Sept. 16, officials reported continued progress on bringing the Riverside Municipal Building into compliance, the latest step in a railing upgrade project first announced Sept. 10.
